Chinese New Year Celebrations

CHINESE NEW YEAR HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE BUNDABERG RECREATIONAL PRECINCT (AGRO TREND) DUE TO THE RECENT FLOODS

Chinese New Year will be staged at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct on Sunday 17th Feburary 2013 and celebrations will include traditonal dancing and fireworks.  A highlight of the celebrations, which will begin at 3.30pm will be performers direct from Nanning in China which is one of Council’s Sister Cities.

Local performers including the Norville State School Taiko Japanese drummers will add to the entertainment.  Anyone interested in Dragon Boat Racing will be able to take a closer look at a boat and chat with enthusiasts.

Other highlights of the free entertainment will include an exhilarating display of vibrant Dragon and Lion Dancing by Bundaberg’s own PCYC Blazers, Tae Kwan Do performance, with the night culminating in an amazing display of fireworks.
